Donations
Donations are extremely important to the Benevolent Society as without these the charity could not survive and those it helps would not receive vital assistance.
However, there are several ways in which you can help the Society:
If you or your company is a member of any of the following trade associations you will be asked for a voluntary donation via your membership subscription invoice. Just over 75% of members make this donation but, like Oliver Twist, we sometimes ask for (and need) more in order to meet our commitments. We can be helping our beneficiaries from the time they retire (which may be early if this is due to ill health) which can be over forty years.
However, there are several ways in which you can help the Society:
- By a monetary donation;
- By naming the Society as your designated charity in any event you may be taking part in;
- By donating an item which can be used in any of the Society’s fund-raising activities:
- Tombola;
- Raffle;
- Our ‘Things That Money Can’t Buy Auction’ at the Benevolent Society Ball.
