BATF Director to take a dip..

On 6th September 2014 BATF Director (and BJA Chairman) Gary Wroe will attempting to swim from one end of Lake Coniston to the other - 5.25miles http://www.chillswim.com/
WHY?? to raise money for 2 great charities 
The first Edwards Trust they offer a wide range of support services to bereaved families and children. They also offer training and support services for school staff, parents or others working with bereaved children and their families more information is available  http://www.edwardstrust.org.uk/
The second charity is the British Jewellery, Giftware and Finishing Federation Benevolant Society which financially assists individuals that have worked within the jewellery, giftware, surface engineering, travelgoods and fashion accessories industries. http://www.batf.uk.com/en/benevolent-society/

The Benevolent Society is a charity aimed providing support for those who  are studying to begin their career in the industry sectors covered by the National Association of Jewellers, British Travelgoods and Accessories Association, The Giftware Association, the Jewellery Distributors’ Association and the Surface Engineering Association, or those who used to work in these industry sectors who in old age or through infirmity find that they cannot manage on their pension and/or other benefits.  Your employer does not have to have been a member of any of the above-mentioned trade associations.  So, if you have worked in these industries (or know of someone who has) and need help and support Contact us now  or email Laura Banner: laura.b.banner@gmail.com
